Video transcript:
Hi there, its Steve and Bruce from SunSwitch, and welcome to Episode 7 of SunSwitch Tuesdays.
Today we’re going to be talking about what’s the most effective and energy-efficient way to actually heat a warehouse. So, if I’ve you’ve got a big warehouse, it’s got roller shutter doors, and you want to keep your guys warm, and around where they’re working – what’s the best heating system for me, rather than me heating the entire space?
That’s a great question, and probably one that comes up pretty much every day, so we love customers that face those challenges – very easy to solve! What we’d say is it’s about choosing the right heating technology for your environment. So, typically, an industrial space has been heated in the past using convectional heaters, warmx air space heaters, which pretty much warm the bats and the warm air dissipates out the roller shutters or rises up, which you can’t stop. What we’d recommend is to check out SunSwitch short-wave infrared heaters, they are nearly 100%, 97.5% radiant, so it’s a bit like the natural sun, when you feel the sun come out of the clouds, you feel that warmth. That heat is travelling through the air until it meets a solid object – be it people on the ground, or the ground itself, so absolutely, you can heat your people within this industrial space. You can create a zone of warmth around a machine operator, a packing bench, an assembly line, wherever you need that heat, you can target it with the right technology. Does that answer the question?
It certainly does Bruce – thank you very much. Thanks for watching, and we’ll see you again next week!
