The HeatLogik® Advantage
HeatLogik – The most Logical Choice of Heating Technology for Industrial Spaces
HeatLogik – Short Wave Infrared Electric Radiant technology, isn’t just a great solution, we believe it’s the most logical choice of technology when it comes to heating industrial and manufacturing spaces. Unlike convection heating systems that struggle in challenging environments, HeatLogik will deliver targeted warmth instantly and efficiently, even in the hardest-to-heat spaces.
Whether your facility has high ceilings, poor insulation, frequently opened roller shutter doors, or is constantly battling draughts, HeatLogik cuts through the cold to keep your people comfortable, happy and productive, while outperforming any other heating technology on both effectiveness and efficiency.
Check out the comparison table below to see the key advantages and benefits that HeatLogik technology has over Gas Convection Heating Systems:

HeatLogik - Short Wave Infrared Radiant Heating | Gas Warm-Air Space Heating | |
---|---|---|
Can you heat just the people instead of the entire space? | Yes, you can target the warmth to only where people are | No, by warming air you have to heat an entire space before you feel warm |
Is it a good solution for environments with high ceilings? | Yes—it's not the air that's being warmed so it won't rise and be wasted in a high ceiling | No, it's very inefficient because warm air rises |
Is it effective in a poorly insulated Industrial Space? | Yes. As it's not the air that's being warmed, the heat won't be affected by poor insulation | No, it's very inefficient because warm air will dissipate out of the building |
Is it suitable for a space with roller-shutter doors? | Yes, air movement will not affect the warmth | No, the warm air will quickly escape out the door making this a very inefficient solution |
Is it suitable in a dusty environment? | Yes, this is a perfect environment as HeatLogik creates zero air-movement. We have some some unique dust-proof and ATEX rated solutions | Not logical or recommended, as it creates air movement which will spread and circulate the dust around the wokplace |
Is it the heating technology healthy? | Yes, very healthy. As it creates no air movement it will not spreading dust, viruses and colds around the environment | No, it's very unhealthy as it easily spreads dust, viruses and colds around the environment with the air movement |
Will it help my EPC rating? | Yes, HeatLogik will boost your buildings EPC rating because there's no heat loss and it operates effectively and efficient within a poorly insulated space | No, gas is very inefficient with high heat loss, so it will not boost your EPC rating |
Will it reduce my carbon footprint? | Yes, HeatLogik will certainly reduce your carbon footprint because the actual heaters themselves are zero carbon. With a renewable energy tariff you could have a carbon zero solution, but even on a standard tariff it will be a very low carbon solution. | No, convection heating within an industrial space does not make logical sense and you will be unable to reduce your carbon footprint |
Is it suitable for an environment with high air-movement? | Yes, you can target the warmth around people only and it won't be affected by the movement of the air or extraction | No, very ineffective and inefficient because warm air will rise, be blown away or extracted |
Does it require a high CAPEX? | No, low capital expenditure | Yes, high capital expenditure |
Does it have a low OPEX? | Yes, low operating expenditure | No, high operating expenditure |
Does it require maintenance? | No, zero maintenance | Yes, high ongoing maintenance is required |
Does it provide instant warmth? | Yes, immediate warmth where and when it is needed | No, it takes time to warm an enire space and in cold weather you have to run the heating continuously because of the high heat loss |
How Traditional Convection Heating and HeatLogik differs
Traditional convection heating systems heat the air. In a large space this is extremely wasteful as the warm air naturally rises and heatsthe ceiling area, not the people. It can also drift away with air movement and be affected by changes in temperature, such as when roller shutter doors are opened, and escape through walls and roofs due to poor or no insulation.
In contrast, HeatLogik shortwave infrared heating creates an instant pool of warmth, which will not rise to the ceiling or drift away with air movement and be wasted. As a result, HeatLogik is an extremely efficient method of heating, making it the most logical and cost-effective choice for heating large spaces.

Understanding Infrared Heating
Radiant heating, also known as ‘infrared heating’ is entirely different from heating by conduction or convection heating.
Different wavelengths directly affect the radiation capacity and, consequently, the heating capacity in the area to be heated.
Only shortwave infrared from the sun reaches the earth’s surface. It is the oldest, most basic kind of warmth known to humankind.
Heatlogik® vs Gas & Convection Heating
Heatlogik Heating Systems
Targeted heat
Shortwave infrared can be directed at the people who need it, rather than wastefully warming the surrounding room and air.
Low cost
Infrared heaters can be installed by any trained electrician, and will instantly start saving you money with high efficiency.
Zero carbon
Our zero-carbon heaters produce absolutely zero emissions, making them perfect for meeting Carbon Reduction Plans.
Instant heating
Immediate, targeted heat at the press of a button, with complete control over the temperature of your industrial or commercial space.
Gas & Convection Heating Systems
Inefficient
We call convection heaters ‘bat-warmers’, due to the wasted heat that rises to the roof of your warehouse.
Additional costs
To make sure convection heaters work, you’ll also need to consider insulation around your expansive industrial space.
Constant maintenance
Convection heaters have lots of moving parts, which can lead to costly repairs when things inevitably go wrong.
Lengthy warm-up
Heritage buildings can take 4-5 hours to heat with traditional convection methods, raising bills to uncomfortable heights.
